the world since 2015

my old workspace, a messy desk
I was checking to see if this blog was listed yet in the search engines, only to discover my extraordinary interview online with WordMothers.

From 2015, nearly 10 years ago.

So much has changed in my life since 2015. It took my breath away.

It was a delight to read it, to acknowledge the energy I had in 2015, the hope. So much has been taken away from me, from us, since, BUT the hope is still there.

Thank you WordMothers for keeping that interview. I'm afraid the twitter and website addresses are wrong now. I've had to reinvent myself so often in the past ten years.

My father died later that year, and that was tragic, and probably the start of the change, but it wasn't the hurdle that it might have been. He left me still wanting to write, but life after 2015 was determined to send me over so many hurdles that my potential career really took a terrible hit.

So this blog is about getting back on track.

Hopefully I'll be able to offer advice to others stuck as I have been for too long.

The first advice is not to give up hope.
The second is to rediscover your energy.
Energy is everything to a writer.

Get outside, get some oxygen, get some light.

You are going to need all the energy you can muster.
